A company that's based in Europe is bringing its out-of-the-box approach and hundreds of jobs to the Lehigh Valley.
Credit Safe has set up shop in South Whitehall Township.
Tuesday the company held the grand opening of its new U.S. headquarters.
The company sells business credit reports and the atmosphere is high energy all the time.
The CEO tells us he moved here because of the hard working people.
There's a lot of music and workers say a lot of fun.
This is a normal day at Credit Safe.
The company sells business credit reports to clients all over the world.
So far there are 91 million clients in their database.
Workers in this office make 200 calls a day.
CEO Cato Syversen says one reason he brought the U.S. headquarters to South Whitehall Township is the people.
"We're pretty good at finding these locations, we know exactly what we want," said Syversen. "So we hire for attitude, and we train for skills."
Employees say they love the high energy atmosphere.
People cheer when a sale is made.
There is ping pong, foosball, and a disco ball in the break room.
"When you're around people that are energetic and are very positive you want to be around those people more," said sales rep, Michelle Mosher. "That's what Credit Safe really believes in."
The company is going to hire 250 people and some say this is a good start to attracting more companies to the Lehigh Valley.
"We're very blessed here to have a good work ethic," said Tony Iannelli, president of the Greater Lehigh County Chamber of Commerce. "To have a lot of people who are anxious willing and able work and it shows."
Credit Safe chose the Lehigh Valley over cities like Nashville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and New York.
Workers say the main reason for the choice, low cost and the people.
